ROLEX DEEPSEA CHALLENGE
The ROLEX DeepSea Challenge is the watchmaker’s pioneering effort to push the limits of what technology in timekeeping can accomplish, going deeper than any watch has ever gone, reaching the Challenger Deep, its namesake.
The Objective of this poster is to reach an otherwise uninterested audience and to persuade to invest in a premium timepiece that is the foremost technology in its field.
I was inspired by clean and organic textures to convey this expedition into uncharted frontier, so illustrating danger, chaos, and uncertainty while the watch itself is a constant in this storm.
The main Call to Action of ROLEX DEEPSEA is “withstand the impossible.” This needed supplement with something to grab the viewer with results, not just promises. This is where the main tagline featured in the poster came into play:

The final poster expresses the depth in which this watch can accomplish, using the iconic glow of ROLEX ti demonstrate its reliability in the danger of the Challenger Deep.
I took to creating my own textures through videography and DIY methods, to create natural animations that didn’t feel stuck and manufactured.
I wanted a spacial and ethereal feel, like we are being transported to a new frontier, one of the unfamiliar.
